FOUR METHOD FAMILIES

What does your print need?

01

Digital and position printing

Digital supports detailed artwork; position printing plans the exact placement on a panel.

02

Sublimation, reactive and pigment

Sublimation suits selected polyester textiles. Reactive is considered for appropriate natural fibres and includes steaming and washing. Pigment has a distinct surface feel.

03

Rotary, block and flatbed

Rotary uses continuous screens; block applies motifs by hand; flatbed uses a flat screen.

04

DTF and rubber printing

DTF is a film-to-garment transfer. Rubber printing creates opaque surface graphics through screen application and curing.

Design

Clarify detailed artwork, repeats, borders, panel placement and colour references.

Application

Discuss garment, yardage or furnishing use, surface feel and the intended finish.

Production

Provide quantities by design and colourway, sampling needs and delivery destination.

Questions before you begin

Is one method suitable for every fabric?

No. Digital, reactive, pigment, sublimation, screen and transfer routes have different material and finishing requirements. Confirm suitability against the actual substrate.

How do I choose between yardage and garment graphics?

Explain whether you need printed fabric rolls, positioned panels or a graphic applied to a finished garment. The printing route and artwork requirements will follow that application.

Can I compare finishes before production?

Discuss a sample or strike-off on the intended material. It helps you review scale, colour direction and surface appearance before approving a larger run.
